My Top 10 Jam▼Tips
These are some of the most recommended tips that I give my customers to make the application of their Jamberry nail wraps an amazing experience!!
- Do not use cuticle oil or lotions within an hour of application // both before and after! Have any oil under your jams will make the bond unsuccessful.
- Wash your hands with dish soap before application // I use a degreasing formula! Jamberry also recently launched an awesome one-step [pump top] nail cleanser! It is alcohol-based and is gets your nails completely clean of any remaining residue from lacquered nails or nail wrap removal.
- Do not forget you can always use a nail strengthener under the wrap for weak or flexible nails.
- When choosing the correct size wrap for you nail, err on the small side with just the tiniest bit of nail showing to avoid oils from breaking down the wraps adhesive.
- While handling your wraps for application, use a tweezer or orange stick. You want to avoid touching the adhesive side with your fingers, the oils from your hands will affect the adhesive negatively and this will give you a poor bond.
- Allow your wraps to cool for a minute or two before clipping or filing ends for a proper seal. Also, filing the ends off in a downward motion at a 90 degree angle is important!! NO SIDE or UPWARD filing! ...I also file at a 45 degree downward motion with a glass file, so that just the tiniest amount of nail is showing at the tip. This prevents the tips from lifting or snagging.
- Do not get your hands wet for a couple hours after application. This will affect the bond and seal if you do...I always do my jamicures RIGHT before bed!
- For easy removal, soak in coconut oil and gently run floss underneath. This method worked pretty well for me, but then Jamberry came out with their Lacquer Remover - ohhh my jam!! You would have thought I had went to Jam heaven once I discovered this gem!! ... seriously, watch this video!
- Do not use your nails as tools! ohhh, ladies!!! HOW can I stress this enough??! ... lets keep those nails GORGEOUS!
- French Tips!! long = less tip, short = more tip .... I can't tell you how many times I have been asked about this one!
